Breach PART 2!!

Definition: “Breach” in legal terms refers to the act of breaking or violating an agreement, contract, law, right, duty, or other obligation. A breach can occur as a result of an act (either a willful, knowing, purposeful, or negligent act), or failing to do an act.

A written agreement is not necessary to establish a breach. Verbal agreements may also be subject to breaches if they can be proved.

A breach may also be an act of “bad faith” which may allow a person or entity to sue for torte damages.
