Summary
In 28 years of experience as Assistant Attorney General and Senior Litigation Counsel with the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General's Office, I helped to draft and interpret Arizona statutes prohibiting discrimination in employment, housing and places of public accommodation. During that period, I litigated almost two hundred cases (many of them at the appeals level), investigated or supervised investigations of almost 8000 administrative complaints of discrimination, and trained thousands of managers, employers and housing providers on their rights and obligations with respect to these laws.
My private practice continues to emphasize ADA, EEO and fair housing issues, but no longer involves litigation. I now work with employers and housing providers to respond to administrative complaints of discrimination; consult with and educate management and staff about how to comply with these laws; mediate and attempt to resolve discrimination complaints; and am available to serve as an expert witness in cases where these issues arise.
